DeductionPro makes it easy to track all your charitable donations and maximize your tax savings.
Use DeductionPro to track your donations and deductions year round. Enter all your charitable donations, as well as deductions you cannot track anywhere else. Then, once youve entered all your donations and expenses, you can create reports based on the entries that youve made or import your charitable donation entries into TaxCut.
Heres a quick overview of how the program works:
Use the Enter Deductions tab to enter your charitable donations and deductible expenses. For more information, see Using the Enter Deductions Tab below.
Use the Tools tab to:
Find answers to your questions about what charitable activities and expenses are deductible—just click Tax Tips.
Use the Review & Finish tab to:
Import your charitable donation and expense entries into TaxCut.
Create a copy of Form 8283 that you can use when you file your tax return.

Take a survey—Click the Finished tab and complete the short survey to let us know what you think of DeductionPro.
The Enter Deductions tab is composed of the following five subtabs:
Item Donations—Enter all the item donations that you made on this tab. Include any donation of goods that you have made to a charity. Some examples of item donations are:
Clothing that you left at an unattended drop-off site.
Household items that you donated to a homeless shelter.
Gifts of stocks or bonds that you donated to a womens shelter.
Art or collectibles that you donated to an auction at a school.

Money Donations—Enter all the monetary donations that you made on this tab. Include donations that you made using cash, checks, credit cards, payroll deductions, or automatic withdrawals from your checking or savings account. For details, see Recording Money Donations.
Expenses and Mileage—Expenses and mileage are costs that you incur through a direct connection with the charitable service that you are providing and for which you are not reimbursed. Use this tab to keep track of any mileage or other miscellaneous expenses that you incur while directly providing a service for a charitable organization. For details, see Recording Expenses and Mileage.
Medical and Other Deductions—Use this tab to record deductible expenses that you might want to track, such as medical and dental expenses or gambling losses. The expenses that you record on this tab are amounts that you report on Schedule A. In addition, they are sometimes hard to track because they arent reported to you on a form, and they dont require that you prepare a separate form. Manage Charities—Use this tab to enter the names and addresses of all the charities that you make donations to. For more information, see Managing Charities.
