You can import your charitable donation and expense entries into TaxCut. DeductionPro does not currently export your Medical and Other Deduction expenses; you must manually enter this information into TaxCut. However, you can view or print the IRS Schedule A report and use it as a guide when entering the information.
Filing a Joint Return
If you plan on filing a joint return using TaxCut, you should create one account that combines information for both parties of the joint return. This means that you and your spouse should enter your charitable donations together in one DeductionPro account. We recommend this because you can import only one set of data into TaxCut. Each time you import data into TaxCut, it replaces the data that you previously imported.
To import your DeductionPro entries into TaxCut:
Click the Review & Finish tab to display the TaxCut Import tab.
Click Save for Import, and then follow the on-screen instructions.
To include your Medical and Other Deductions entries on the tax return that you prepare with TaxCut:
View or print the IRS Schedule A report.
Review lines 1, 16, 17, 19, 22, 23, and 28 of the report.
Add the data to your Schedule A manually.
