Creating a Copy of Form 8283

If you are claiming a total deduction of more than $500 for all the noncash donations you made, you must fill out IRS Form 8283.

If you enter noncash donations totalling more than $500 in DeductionPro, you can have DeductionPro automatically complete Form 8283 for you.

Form 8283 has only five lines on which to record your noncash charitable donations. If you entered more than five separate donations, DeductionPro automatically creates as many copies of Form 8283 as you need.

If you are exporting your donation information to TaxCut, you don’t need to use DeductionPro to create a copy of Form 8283. TaxCut will automatically create Form 8283 for you.

To create a copy of Form 8283:

  1. On the Review & Finish tab, click IRS Form 8283.

  2. In the First Name box, type the first name of the primary taxpayer.

  3. In the Last Name box, type the last name of the primary taxpayer.

Note: You can have only one form open at a time. You must close the form that you currently have open before clicking View Form beside another form.
