You cannot currently test the inline text functionality in the Adobe Device Central emulator; you must test this feature on a device. When testing in the emulator, you must edit the contents of input text fields using a modal dialog box that appears over the Flash Lite content (that is, the emulator functions the same way it did for Flash Lite 1.x and Flash Lite 2.x).
