Get a Yahoo ID
Yahoo! Messenger To use Yahoo! Messenger, you need a Yahoo! ID. The Yahoo! ID is free and it entitles you to use all of the services that Yahoo! offers.

To sign up for a Yahoo! ID, select "Change User/Login" from the Login menu in Messenger and click "Get a Yahoo! ID".

If you already have a Yahoo! ID, you do not need to sign up for another one. You can use your current ID to login to Yahoo! Messenger.
