POV Tab

If your Gravis game controller has a point-of-view (POV) switch, go to the POV Tab to configure it.

DirectX

Select the default setting, DirectX, to use the game’s standard DirectX POV controls. The game will then determine how the POV switch works in the game.

Keystroke

Choose Keystroke to assign a game’s keyboard commands for changing views to the directions on the POV control.

Eight labels will appear around the image of the POV switch, corresponding to each of the eight directions. When you move your mouse button over a label, a button frame appears around it. Click the button for each direction on the switch. In the Keystrokes window that appears, enter the game’s keyboard command for that looking in that direction.

If you don’t need a view control for a game, you can also use your controller’s POV switch for any other set of keyboard game commands—changing weapons, for instance, or moving the torso of a Mech Warrior™ game character.

If you select one button on your controller to be a HotSet switch button, you can enter a second command for each direction on the POV switch by selecting the HotSet button at the bottom of the window. The text in the response menus appears red when HotSet functions are displayed. To return to the primary switch functions, click Normal at the bottom of the screen.
