Note: If you're just doing simple things like finding your ip and pinging people, the you
don't need to read this.

Read this legal information first, it REALLY IMPORTANT:
==
This program IS in public domain. You may bundle it with any other program, give it away, or
post it on your website. You may not charge for this program, if you are transferring it by
physical means, then you may charge for the price of the media ONLY (no charging "shipping and
handling". And you though you fooled me.). You may also try to decompile/reverse engineer it,
and if you succeed, then send the source code to me, and you'll get a BIG kudos on my site. If
this program blows up your computer, eats your family, or doesn't any other damage (which it
shouldn't), then I am in NO WAY responsible.

Now the intructions

Contents:

1. The main menu

7. Bugs and Stuff
----------------

1. The main menu:
--
It's sorta obvious, this one. Choose your option.

2. Scan/Ping
-----
Use this to find out if someone is logged on or not. If it says the IP is not connected or
spelled wrong, then that person is not connected or you spelled it wrong. At the prompt, you
may enter either a numerical IP (i.e. 255.255.255.255, you will be using this mostly for
specific people), or an internet address (i.e. http://www.pretendinc.cjb.net).

2.1 Find the IP associated with a web address
-----
At the main menu choose Scan. Type in the web address. It will ping it and return whether it is
valid. At the very top, it should show something like this:

Pinging www.yahoo.akadns.net [216.115.102.81] with 32 bytes of data:

The 216.115.102.81 is the IP address for the web site.

Thanks to jmoreno113 for suggesting this to me.

3. Find your own ip
-----
It pretty much works itself.

4. Get the Fix
-----
If when you try to ping someone or get your ip, you recieve weird errors, I can send you a fix.
Unless your computer was victimized by a virus, it should be ok.

5. Bugs and stuff:
-----
Before sending a bug report, go to http://www.pretendinc.cjb.net and get the most recent version.
If you have the most recent version, email me your problem, or go to my site (guess what it is)
and use the submission form there. When emailing me, please describe the problem specifically
and if you can provide a screenshot (no files over 1 mb).

6. If people want me to
-----
In future versions, I plan on adding some more options like remembering IP's so you can scan
them later, IP tracing and viewing IP addresses of computers connected to you. But there will
not be future versions if no one uses this. So if you included this with your program or game,
or you used it and found it usedful, or you used it and hated it, email me you comments,
suggestions or bitching to p_krecker@yahoo.com or drop by my site (http://www.pretendinc.cjb.net)
and use the submit form there.

7. Version Log
---------
1.0 - Released at 11:18 PM on 1/15/02.
	Initial release, nothing to say.
1.1 - Released at 9:50 PM on 1/16/02
Added error checking so the program tells you if it can't run properly. Fixed a problem
where if you didn't input an IP address the program went screwy.
