INTEL(R) VIDEO PHONE RELEASE NOTES These release notes contain the latest information available about the Intel(R) Video Phone and its operation. Consult this document for information on making better use of the Intel Video Phone or if you encounter any of the conditions described below. Please consult this document before contacting Intel Customer Support. + Intel(R) Video Phone on Windows* 2000 or Windows* XP When installing the Intel Video Phone software you must be logged in as Adminstrator. Each time you run Intel Video Phone on a computer with Windows 2000 you must be logged in as a Power User or as an Administrator. When using Intel Video Phone on a computer with Windows XP, ensure that you are logged in as an Administor. + Intel Video Phone not Defaulting to the Correct "Device to Use for Internet calls" If you set Intel Video Phone to automatically detect the device to use for Internet calls, the default may not be the correct Internet connection device if your computer has more than one device that can be used to connect to the Internet (a LAN card and modem for instance). If you receive an error related to your Internet connection: 1 From Intel Video Phone, click Settings. 2 On the Settings dialog, click the Connection tab. 3 On the Connection tab, from the 'Device to use for Internet calls', choose your connection device from the drop-down list. 4 Click OK. + Delay in Video Phone Launch After Rebooting Occasionally, starting Intel Video Phone after rebooting your computer, can cause a long delay in the launch of Intel Video Phone. Subsequent launches of Video Phone are considerably faster. + Calls Hangup Automatically When Answered If during a video phone call the other party experiences a system crash, each time you try to make a call to any party after the crash your video phone hangs up as soon as the other party answers. If you are having trouble successfully placing a call, close and restart Intel Video Phone, then try the call again. + Using Intel Video Phone Behind a Firewall, or Through a Router With Network Address Translation (NAT).
