Identify a policy-protected PDF

If you receive a policy-protected PDF, a Security Settings button  appears in the navigation pane.

  1. Click the Security Settings button  in the navigation pane. The name of the policy and an explanation of the restrictions appears.
  2. Click Permission Details to see more information about the restrictions.

If the PDF is protected by a policy from an Adobe LiveCycle Policy Server, a security warning may appear when you try to open the PDF.
