Introduction ================================================================== This document provides information to help you use Battery 3. It deals with last-minute additions, compatibility issues and possible problem causes. ================================================================== 2. Version History ================================================================== Version 3.0.2 - New Templates Kits are included with predefined key ranges. They are located in the Template Kits folder of the library. Bugfixes: - Initialization time has been reduced significantly - Keyranges now saved in empty cell-matrix (matrix without samples) - Add Sample works now correctly after a cell has been loaded - Errors during re-save process (Kits and samples) have been fixed - Delete Cell now resets sound parameters - Changes in output routing are now saved - Hotkeys are no longer stolen from the host - Import mapping now combines velocity layers of the same key range in one cell - Crash on load fixed in standalone, in Live 5, and in Logic - Cubase 4 serious error in wave editor has been fixed - Crash trying to copy from a sample has been fixed - Several crashes on quitting Battery have been fixed - Crash when quitting audio setup dialog has been fixed - Crash when mounting a new browser volume has been fixed - Library cache file corruption problem has been fixed - Voices should not be restricted any longer Version 3.0.1 - Misc bug fixes ================================================================== 3. Important Notes ================================================================== Version 3.0.2 - Replace Cell (by Sample): this feature from Battery 2 can now be emulated by using Delete Cell and Add Sample. - Replace sample: this feature from Battery 2 can be emulated by using Delete Zone and Add Zone. In the current version, Replace Zone works only in combination with Cut Zone or Copy Zone. - Modulation restrictions: like in Battery 2, certain combinations of modulation sources and targets are not possible. However, currently you are not restricted from chosing those combinations. As a general rule any modulators in the last section cannot be used with any modulator targets in the last section. Version 3.0 - The shortcut for the Randomize Cell function is now Strg-D (Apple-D). - After the changing of the sample rate a restart of BATTERY is required. - Host key commands are intercepted after you clicked into the Battery 3 window, click into the host window to be able to send keys to the host again. ================================================================== 4. Known Limitations and Issues ================================================================== Version 3.0.2 - The Default Kit option was removed - When using the Delete Cell function, certain parameters in the Setup tab will not be reset to default values. - When triggering multiple cells not all cells are flashing. - RTAS: When switching kits in ProTools, sometimes a delay is observed between MIDI input and audio output. You can fix this problem by pressing start and stop once. Version 3.0 - Multi Output does not work in Logic 7.1, please use 7.2 - Stretch Mode: Crash occurs when Speed parameter has been set below 100% and Sample End Point is moved when sample is played back. - Known Problems with display of cell menu in Live 6 - Sample Drag and Drop in plugin mode not possible - Battery 1 Import: problems known concerning MIDI channel allocation ================================================================== 5.
