Alias DirectConnect for SolidWorks®Capabilities
When you install Alias DirectConnect, you can use it to import SolidWorks® files, provided you have SolidWorks installed and licensed on your machine. No Alias DirectConnect license is required to import SolidWorks® part and assembly files (*.sldprt and *.sldasm).

The following information is maintained when SolidWorks® files are imported:
· Precise geometric surface and topology information· Data organization· Tolerances and units· Colors
