Completing Your State Return

You create a state return by opening your federal return, clicking on the State tab and opening your state. TaxCut automatically transfers all applicable information from your federal return to your state return. TaxCut saves the information from your state return in the same file as your federal return.

If you have already purchased and installed your state program:

1. Click the State tab.

2. Double-click on the state name from the list, or select it and click Begin.

3. Answer the questions to move through the state Interview topics.

If you haven't purchased your state program, or you need a state program for another state:

1. Click the State tab.

2. Then click the Buy State button to check for purchasing information and availability. Note: You must be connected to the Internet to access the TaxCut Web site.
