Planning For Next Year

Now that your taxes are done for this year, H&R Block can give you tax planning advice to help you save money in the year's ahead. Using TaxCut's Plan tab:

• You can plan your taxes for next year. You can:

• Use our tax calculator to estimate your 2008 taxable income, tax, credit, and refund or tax due.

• Estimate your 2008 income tax and complete a W-4 to insure that your wage withholdings are correct.

• Determine whether you will owe alternative minimum tax in 2008.

• View and print a personalized tax planning report based on your current return.

• You can plan for your retirement. You can:

• Find out if an IRA is right for you.

• See if you are eligible for the saver's credit.

• You can plan for your children's education. If you have a student in the family:

• You can see how much you can save in 2008.

To begin planning your future goals:

1. Click the Plan tab.

2. Check the boxes next to the planning tools you want to use, and click Next.

3. Follow the instructions displayed by TaxCut.
