Saving Your Return as a PDF File

TaxCut allows you to save your tax return as a PDF file. Having a copy of your tax return as a PDF (.pdf) file will allow you to view your return from outside of TaxCut.

To save your return as a PDF file from the File menu:

  1. From the File menu, select Save As PDF. TaxCut displays the Save As PDF dialog box.

  2. Type a name for the PDF file in the Name field. TaxCut assumes you are saving the PDF file to the default folder My Documents\TaxCut. If you want to save the file to a different folder, navigate to the folder using the Browse button.

  3. Click OK.

To save your return as a PDF file before filing your return:

  1. Click on the File tab.

  2. Proceed through the screens until you reach  the Backup Your Entire Tax Return File screen.

  3. Click the Save As PDF button. The Save As PDF dialog box opens.

  4. Type a name for the PDF file in the Name field. TaxCut assumes you are saving the PDF file to the default folder My Documents\TaxCut. If you want to save the file to a different folder, navigate to the folder using the Browse button.

  5. Click OK.
