Finding an Interview Topic

TaxCut provides three different methods for locating a specific Interview topic.

Take Me To

The Take Me To dialog box lists all the topics in TaxCut's federal and state tax preparation process.  You can click on the Take Me To button to display the Take Me To dialog box and jump directly to a specific topic anywhere in TaxCut.

To jump to an Interview topic:

1. In the Take Me To dialog box, click on the topic name you want to access to highlight it.

2. Click the Go To button.

Topic Navigator

TaxCut's window displays five tabs; Welcome, Federal, State, File, and Plan. You can click on any one of the five tabs and display the main Interview topics for that tab in the Topic Navigator bar.

To jump to an Interview topic:

1. Click on one of the main topics listed in The Topic Navigator bar. If the main topic has no subtopics, TaxCut jumps directly to that topic.

2. If the main topic has subtopics associated with it, TaxCut displays a list of all the subtopics within that main topic. Simply scroll to the subtopic you want and click the Go To link next to the topic.

Summary Screens

When you complete a main Interview topic from one of the five tabs, TaxCut displays a Summary screen. This screen lists all the topics you have completed and summarizes the information you have entered for that topic.

To return to an Interview topic:

• Simply click the Go To link next to the topic you want to access.
