Signing Your Return Electronically (Self-Select PIN)

You can e-file a paperless tax return using the IRS's Self-Select Personal Identification Number (PIN) program. When you use this program to sign your return, you simply select a PIN number and enter your prior year's Adjusted Gross Income. You don't have to mail a signature form or any attachment (like W-2's and 1099's) to the IRS.

If you imported information from your 2006 TaxCut return, your prior year's Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) is automatically filled in for you by TaxCut. If you did not import information from your 2006 TaxCut return, you must enter your prior year's AGI. Click here to find out where you can get this information.

Note: If your prior year AGI amounts don't match exactly, the IRS will reject your return.

You cannot sign your return electronically if:

At the end of the e-filing process, TaxCut displays a Filing Checklist which will list the address where you mail the Payment Voucher with your check.
