When you run Error Check, TaxCut displays a summary of the number of errors and data verifications for your return.
Data verifications include any entries that you may or may not to fix. For example, entries that you have marked tentative. You don't need to clear all data verification messages, if the information is already correct as entered. Some of these messages are just reminders. Review each message, and then take the appropriate action.
Click the Continue button.
Click Next to scroll through the error messages until you reach the first data verification message.
TaxCut displays the form for the first data verification message in the bottom pane of the Error Check window and automatically places the cursor in the field that is causing the message. To display the whole form, click the Whole Form button. To close the form and return to the Error Check window, click the Close Form button at the top of the form.
If necessary, fix or change the information and press Enter.
Click Next to go to the next data verification message in the list. TaxCut displays the form and automatically places the cursor in the field causing the message.
Continue clicking Next until you have reviewed all data verification messages. Once you click Next after the last message, TaxCut reruns the Error Check and the list is updated.
Click the Delete Form button.
Click Yes to confirm the deletion.
TaxCut deletes the form and reruns Error Check.
Click the Back button.
TaxCut moves sequentially back through the list of messages. Once you reach the beginning of the list, TaxCut reruns the Error Check, and the list is updated.
Click the Show List button on the bottom right hand of the Error Check window. To hide the list again, click the Hide List button in the Title bar of the list.
Click the Show List button to display all the errors and data verifications.
Click the Go To button next to the data verification message you want to review.
TaxCut displays the form containing the data verification message in the bottom pane of the Error Check window and automatically places the cursor in the field that is causing the message.
If necessary, fix or change the information and press Enter.
Click the Show List button to display the list.
Click the Print List button in the Title bar of the list.
Some data verification messages prompt you to compare entries on multiple forms. From the Error Check window you can view a different form, if necessary.
Click the Forms List button in the tool bar of the Error Check window. TaxCut displays the Forms List dialog box which lists all the forms used in TaxCut.
Select the form you want to display from the list.
Click the Open Form button. TaxCut displays the form in the Error Check window.
Click the Close button to close the Forms List dialog box.
The new form does not replace the form shown in the bottom pane of the Error Check window. When you close the new form, TaxCut continues to display the original form associated with the error or data verification message.
