Tax Tips and Instructions

There are several sources of tax information available in TaxCut.

Tax Tips: Provide extensive tax information to help you prepare your tax return. For details, see Tax Tips. To display Tax Tips, do one of the following: 

• Go to the Help Menu on the TaxCut window menu bar, select Tax Help, and then select Tax Tips.
• Click the Help button on the TaxCut window, select H&R Block Tax Tips.

IRS Instructions: We've included the official IRS instructions on-line for all tax forms in TaxCut. For details, see IRS Instructions. To display IRS Instructions, do one of the following:

• Go to the Help Menu on the TaxCut window menu bar, select Tax Help, and then select IRS Instructions.
• Click the Help button on the TaxCut window, and then select IRS Instructions.

IRS Publications: TaxCut includes many of the most popular IRS publications. See IRS Publications. To display IRS Publications, do one of the following:

• Go to the Help Menu on the TaxCut window menu bar, select Tax Help, and then select IRS Publications.
• Click the Help button on the TaxCut window, and then select IRS Publications.

Note: You can access Publication 17, the publication most individual taxpayers refer to when completing their income taxes, directly from within TaxCut. For all other publications, we've made available a complete library of the latest IRS Publications on our Web site. These publications are in PDF format.  

Form Help (Explain This Form): TaxCut can show you a detailed explanation of the calculations it makes for a particular tax form and what gets carried from where. For details, see Form Help (Explain This Form). To display Form Help, do one of the following:

• Go to the Help Menu on the TaxCut window menu bar, select Tax Help, and then select Explain This Form.
• Click the Help button on the TaxCut window, and then select Form Help (Explain This Form).
