You can work on the forms directly. However, we recommend that you try our Interview. It's customized to meet your needs, and we think you'll be pleased at how quick and easy it is.

If you don't want special assistance from us and prefer to work on the forms directly, just go up to the Forms menu and choose Open Forms.

Tips on using the forms:

• White entry fields are "user entry." Make your entries directly in these fields.
• Gray entry fields are calculations we make or entries we carry from other forms and worksheets. You can put your calculator aside -- we do all of the work for you here. To ensure that your return calculates correctly, you should never override these entries, except in special cases where we instruct you to do so.
• If you have any questions about how the calculations are made, or where we've carried the information from, click Help and the Form Help (Explain Form).
• For the official IRS Instructions, click Help and the IRS Instructions book.

We'll guide you through the entire process, from preparing your return to sending it to the IRS. To move from screen to screen, click one of the navigation buttons with an arrow under the Interview text. As you answer the questions, we'll fill in the tax forms and do all the calculations for you.

If you need more information about using TaxCut, click the Help button, then click the How To Use TaxCut book. You can also use the Search feature to locate information about a specific topic. Simply click the Search button and type in the search term.

Sit back, relax, and follow the Interview. Using TaxCut is easier than most things you do with your computer. We've designed the Interview to provide you the maximum assistance. All you have to do is answer the questions. We'll take care of filling in the necessary forms.
