Uninstalling TaxCut

To remove TaxCut 2006 from your hard drive:

1. We suggest that you back up your tax return files before uninstalling the program. The uninstall program does not delete your tax return files, but you should back them up before you start, just to be safe. See Backing Up Tax Return Files.

2. Close TaxCut.

3. From the Start menu, select Programs, and then select TaxCut 2006.

4. Select Uninstall H&R Block TaxCut 2006.

5. When the Uninstall window opens, click on one of the following options:

• All - to uninstall the Federal and all State programs.

• Federal Only - to uninstall only the Federal program. If you have installed a TaxCut State program and you select this option, you cannot access the State program without first re-installing the Federal program.

• State Only - to uninstall only the State program. If you have more than one State program installed, TaxCut allows you to choose which State program you want to uninstall. You can uninstall all State programs or select a specific State program from the list.

6. Click Next to uninstall the software. Click Cancel if you don't want to uninstall the software.
