Using the Tax Summary

The Tax Summary window lists important numbers from your federal and state tax return, such as your adjusted gross income, taxable income, and the amount of your refund or amount you owe. It also provides a snapshot of where your money went. It lists (in dollars and percent) the amount of your income that went to:

• Federal, State, and Local taxes

• Social Security and Medicare taxes

• Take home pay

Note: The Tax Summary information for your federal and state returns is listed in separate sections on the report. The Tax Summary information for your state is listed only after you have started your state return.

To open the Tax Summary window do one of the following:

• From the Reports menu, select View Tax Summary.

• Click on the Refund/Owe Meter in the upper right corner of the TaxCut window.

To close the Tax Summary window:

• Click on the Close button at the bottom of the window.
