When you first open TaxCut, the program displays the Welcome to TaxCut screen. This Welcome screen allows you to choose how you would like to proceed within the program.
Click on the Start a Return button. TaxCut displays the Start a Return screen.
Click the Create Return Without Importing button.
You can also create a new return at anytime by selecting Create New Return from the File menu.
Note: You create a state return by opening your federal return, clicking on the State tab and opening your state. TaxCut automatically transfers all applicable information from your federal return to your state return. TaxCut saves the information from your state return in the same file as your federal return.
