Using the Take Me To...Button

The Take Me To... dialog box lists all the topics of the tax preparation process. As you prepare your federal and state tax return, TaxCut checks off the topics in the list so you can track your progress. Checkmarks and colored boxes to the left of the topics indicate their status:

dark green box — Topic you need to complete
white box — Topic you may need to complete
light green box — Topic you are in the process of completing
gray box — Topic you do not need to complete
green checkmark in box — Topic you have completed

To keep the Take Me To.... dialog box open and track your progress as you work, check the "Keep this window open" box.

To view only those topics with a specific status:

In the View Topics By list, click on the circle next to the status you want to view.

To move to a topic:

Highlight the topic name in the topics list.
Click the Go To button.

To close the dialog without moving to another topic, click Close.
