Importing from DeductionPro

If you have downloaded and used H&R Block's DeductionPro software, you can import your charitable contributions from DeductionPro into TaxCut.

Note: You can import from DeductionPro more than once. Subsequent imports do not overwrite information that you've imported previously. In subsequent imports, TaxCut adds all of the imported information as if it were new, and creates additional copies of Form 8283.

To import information from DeductionPro using the Interview:

1. Go through the topics in the Charitable Contributions Interview until you reach the Ready to Import Contributions from DeductionPro window.  

2. Click the Import from DeductionPro button. TaxCut displays the DeductionPro Wizard .

3. Follow the prompts in the DeductionPro Import Wizard.

To import information from DeductionPro using the File menu:

1. From the File menu, select Import Financial Information. TaxCut displays the Import Financial Information dialog box.

2. Select DeductionPro and then select version 2006.

3. Click OK.

4. Follow the prompts in the DeductionPro Import Wizard.

As you move through the Charitable Contributions Interview, TaxCut displays the contributions that you imported in green. You can review and make changes, or you can view and change the imported information by clicking on the View Summary of Imported Data button. TaxCut displays the Review DeductionPro Imports report.
