Tax Line Item Assignment

When you assign specific tax line items to Quicken categories, Quicken tracks your tax-related expenses for you. Most standard Quicken categories are already assigned to tax form line items. For example, Charity is assigned to Schedule A: Cash Charity Contributions. If you use the Charity category when you record all cash contributions in Quicken, at the end of the year you can see how much you've contributed and how much you can deduct.

Create New Categories
Track your tax-related expenses using categories. When you create or edit a category, select the Tax-related checkbox and choose the appropriate tax line item.

Tax Line Item Assignment
Link your categories with tax schedule line items. Use the Tax Line Item Assignment window to view, assign, or change the tax-related aspects of categories.
