What is your average tax rate?
Your average tax rate (also called your effective tax rate) is your total taxes divided by your total income. It isn't your marginal tax rate, which is also called your tax bracket.

If you don't know your average tax rate, Quicken gives you an estimate of your average tax rate based on where you live and your income.
