Form 8283 reports your item donations to the IRS. You must attach it to your tax return if your item donations are more than $500.
The form requires the following information, which DeductionPro collects on the Item Donations tab:
The name and address of the charity that you donated the items to
A description of the donated property
The date of the donation
The date you acquired the donated items
The way you acquired the donated items
Your cost/adjusted basis
The fair market value of the donated items
