Are there any limits to how much I can deduct for money donations?

There is no specific limit applied to money donations alone. However, there are limits for the total of all your deductions taken. In general, you can claim a deduction for all cash, out-of-pocket expenses, and non-appreciated property that you have donated to a 50% limit organization, up to 50% of your adjusted gross income. For detailed information on deduction limits, see Charitable Deduction Limits in H&R Block’s Guide to Charitable Deductions.
