There is no specific limit applied to money donations alone. However, there are limits for the total of all your deductions taken. In general, you can claim a deduction for all cash, out-of-pocket expenses, and non-appreciated property that you have donated to a 50% limit organization, up to 50% of your adjusted gross income. For detailed information on deduction limits, see Charitable Deduction Limits in H&R Blocks Guide to Charitable Deductions.
