You can easily check the value of an item without entering any information into DeductionPro.
DeductionPro bases the value of an item on its condition—Like New, Minor Wear, Average Wear, and Heavy Wear. See How do I determine the quality of my donated item? for some guidelines.
To check the value of an item:
Click the Tools tab to display the Quick Value Check screen.
Click the category or subcategory that best fits your item, and then click the item that you want to know the value of.
DeductionPro displays the fair market value of the item for each quality level in the Selected Item box, as well as your estimated tax savings if you decide to donate the item.
Tips:
To view the items listed for all categories, click Expand All.
To close all the categories that you have open at once, click Collapse All.
You can also check the value of an item by clicking Quick Value Check on the Tools menu.
