(Windows and Online versions only)
If you used DeductionPro 2005-06 last year and you entered 2006 deductions into it, you can import that data into DeductionPro 2006. DeductionPro will import your account information, charities, and all the 2006 deductions you entered. However, last years entries will not be imported.
To import data:
From the File menu, click New Account.
On the Welcome screen, select Import from DeductionPro 2005-06, and then click Next.
(Online users only) On the Select File to Import screen, click Browse.
(Windows users only) In the Open dialog box, select the file that you want to import, and then click Open.
(Online users only) In the Open dialog box, select the file that you want to import, click Open to close the dialog box, and then click Import File.
DeductionPro imports your account information, charities, and any 2006 deductions you entered.
When the Your Imported Data screen appears, click Next.
Tip: Make sure that you review all the data you imported to ensure that it is correct.
(Online users only) Read the license agreement, click the check box to accept its terms and conditions, and then click Next.
On the Account Setup screen, review your account data, and then click Save File & Begin.
In the Save dialog box, select the location that you want to save the file to, and then click Save again.
If you dont specify a location, DeductionPro will save the file to the following location:
My Documents\DeductionPro 2006
By default, DeductionPro uses the name you entered in the Name text boxes and the file extension .d06 to create the filename. For example, if you enter the name "John Smith," the name of the file will be: John Smith.d06
