What if I don’t know the address of the charity?

DeductionPro does not require an entry in the Charity Address field; you can leave it blank. However, the IRS requires the address if the total of all your noncash donations is greater than $500. DeductionPro enters it on Form 8283, which you must file with your tax return. Even if your donations are less than $500, you will need to have an accurate record of the address if the IRS ever questions your deduction.

Tip:

If you made an online donation to a charity, you can enter its Web address.
