A group of four engineering scientists created the robo which they refer to as "the prototype", their names being Keiji Imahune a.k.a. Keinemas (the head of the group), Gene Subskivix, Gerald Renstadt, Vance DeBlaum, and a fifth, less-credited one named Marto-Friggly. The robo was created to fulfill the role of the most powerful single-entity force, offensively and defensively, and to be used in the hands of a large military force of the time named Zon Zeta. Once they'd finished creating all parts that were to be used in conjunction with the robo, they came to realize how dangerous the robo could actually be should it go awry in its conscious state. So, in fear of such a possibility, they opt to take all of the parts and weapons they created for it and seal the weapons away in "temples" or different remote areas spread throughout the world, creating one large robot to guard each weapon, as well as many small robots to make the journey to the weapon chamber difficult. They seal away the less dangerous parts in safety devices (capsules, safes) and hide them throughout the temples/remote areas so that they never fall into the wrong hands... They seal the robo itself in a sort of stasis chamber that keeps it inactive, but would reactivate it in situations that would put the robo at risk. Afterward the scientists break up and stow away to different locations, wandering the Earth as unknown souls away from society. The scientists understand that Zon Zeta would only kill them, were Zon Zeta to see them after that point. Using the scientists' technologies and knowledge, Zon Zeta would then safely retrieve the parts from the temples and reunite them with the robo to ultimately awaken it. Several hundred years later, the laboratory that houses the stasis chamber the robo is in is crumbling to the ground because of a large war between humans and the scientists' abundant amounts of small (but dangerous) robots. The robots have gone awry by that time and escaped from their temples/remote areas, the chaos theory (the theory that supposed-to-be infinite loops will eventually be thrown off) taking effect on their looping guard routines and perimeter checks. They think the people they run into (as well as themselves) are inside the robot's assigned temple/remote area, and thus attack and kill the people. The stasis chamber's main computer, which performs consistent environment checks, senses danger in tremors caused by the war, and releases you. It is there that you awaken and begin your game, with an escape from the crumbling laboratory. Nine terminals will be spread out through the game in random isolated (but not too hard to find) rooms, information in every two from each scientist except one from Marto-Friggly. They explain what little they know about the nine secret weapons they've found or created and hint on how to get them and/or their required password (if they have one). These nine weapons are: X Shell, Space Flux, Space Flux Beta, Chip Beacon, Chewbacca, Chuck Norris, Oipi Parka, Reaverbot, and Twilight Sunset. SCIENTIST NAME WEAPON 1 WEAPON 2 -------------- -------- -------- Keiji Imahune(Keinemas) Space Flux Beta Space Flux Gene Subskivix X Shell Reaverbot Gerald Renstadt Chip Beacon Twilight Sunset Vance DeBlaum Chewbacca Chuck Norris Marto-Friggly Oipi Parka NONE (or Tutorial Weapon) What might be said: Space Flux Beta - "I have discovered what seems to be a prototype weapon that has been left behind by an expired civilization. It utilizes a polarized antimatter core reactor to create fluxuations in the space around it, and form around it deadly deunified mimicks of a local energy form. This technology is very mysterious and powerful, though I can't seem to find a directory path for the prototype's systems to use it once it's been switched out..." Space Flux - "Finally! I have found what seems to be a full and final form of the mysterious space-fluxuational technology. Data scans show that it also contains a coordinatory directory path to the former incomplete version of the technology, which I discovered earlier. However, I fear for this being used in the wrong hands. I must seal it away the best I know how." X Shell - "A scan of this area rectifies that none of the alloys used to create these walls and floors are recognized. That would suggest that the objects in this area are from another time, and possibly even another universe. Especially interesting is this monochrome being and the strange technology he faces. They are as oblivious ghosts; I can not interact with them, and the being does not seem to see me. However, a very intricately detailed scan of them shows small similarities between them and the laser-based weapon which the team created for the prototype. These similarities may be significant enough to trigger some sort of reaction with the being." Reaverbot - "Date readouts on this ancient shell armor point to the fact that, its origins and the origins of the foreign technology I discovered earlier are in fact one in the same. The sole difference is a gap of several centuries, but they have come from the same universe." Chip Beacon - "Though further work on the prototype now seems futile, I feel that humankind will one day need the powers of our machine. Wouldst such a time come to be, I feel that it is my duty to develop a weapon modification that serves as an aid to the prototype, rather than a destructive force amongst the many others we scientists have created for it." Twilight Sunset - "It was here, in this mysterious black space where I planned to stay until my life met its end. It was also here that I felt - no, saw... I can not be sure what sense "it" encompassed, but the existence of an alter ego of this room, in eternal twilight, flashed through my mind. A horizon consisting of sillhouetted buildings - one distinct, a clocktower - and the codename of our prototype spinning in my mind then set into it. After this strange feeling subsided, I noticed through my Portable Local Arms Detection Interface a new technology alert. What strange properties this anomaly seemed to have, as if it were woven not with feasible data but with the essence of true twilight. I plan to study this phenomenon until my life reaches its untimely end, and perhaps ultimately incorporate it into some design..." Chewbacca - "Forget that Imahune and his followers, they can do as they like. But I am not under his control; he cannot force me to stop producing parts for the prototype, and therefore I won't. In fact, I'll put my own spin on the parts I create alone. I'll incorporate my own sphere-code system, separating the arms data into two parts that repel eachother via electromagnets that switch polarity when they touch. The only way to get the sphere-shaped enabler into the holster would be to fire it from a high-powered electrical charge cannon into the holster. Then one would have to use the corresponding character key to trigger the password sequence. Yes... Sure to keep Imahune and the others from interfering. Anyways, my first independent production shall be a tribute to my favorite intergalactic recruit from that ancient movie..." Chuck Norris - "I've had a revelation! I shall create the surely most powerful weapon in the history of mankind! I will incorporate its coordinatory directory path into my first independent creation. Also, the weapon data will be put into the sphere-code system of my previous creation. However, in order to attain this unmatched power, I must remember his name... The man from Walker Texas Ranger..." Oipi Parka - "HOOHoohoohoohoooo!! DeBlaum's sphere-code system will come in handy for this! I CALL IT THE OIPI PARKA! How fortunato-unfortunato I am to have created such a brilliantly inhabitual overcoat! It is almost too good to be true! Almost an opiate! This opiate Oipi Parka, it brings faces to the things we thought weren't organic...! Hm??? It seems to be spreading, oh my! Spreading fast, like a virus! These opiatic creatures need a home, one they can not get out of. Well that's not a problem!! Simply leave them in the cave I passed by on my way here, will I. I'll return for you, my Oipi Parka!" Tutorial Special Weapon (Maybe) - "Who would have thought I would dig out this piece of junk again... The initial test weapon for the prototype... Almost saved my life, but I'm afraid, not quite! HEEEEeeeeeeee, it seems that my own beautiful opiate creation backfired on me... Farewell then, I won't make it out alive..." Final, Near-End Storyline Idea ------------------------------ The golden pulsector steals the Robo's red orb, which contains all of its weapons, as it is teleporting out of the pre-final stage, and trades it for a false orb that contains no weapons. All along, the GPS has been after the space flux technology, but could not access it due to the strong field around it that requires all six weapons to unlock. So, it was unable to fend for itself much, and used the unknowing Robo to collect each weapon for it. Throughout the final stage, you run across golden crystal debris, which is biproduct of the GPS's evolution. The final boss is the evolved GPS, which has six crystals surrounding it that it uses as weapons, as well as a central crystal which houses the GPS itself, and the unlocked space flux. Before seeing the evolved GPS, you run into a terminal that reads something like: "Here lies the greatest weapon we have been able to create for the Prototype, in the short time that we were given. No goliath waits in this place, for it is the treasures of all six goliaths that unlock the alternal spacial dimension in which the space flux is sealed - a form of security possible only through our endless toiling. ..." Origins of the Golden Pulsector ------------------------------- The Golden Pulsector is the untold result from the earliest works of the Prototype Team, before the Robo. In a sense, it is beyond the Prototype - it is the Final Product, the Omegatype, the true ultimate weapon. In sacrifice, however, it has no master but itself - the fatal mistake which none on the Prototype Team had realized until development was complete. Before the GPS had a chance to unleash its fierce power upon the world, the scientists sealed it in a chryogenic flash-freeze, which involved arming and furnishing an entire story of their laboratory with equipment and insulation that could enforce, withstand, and accomodate chryogenic technologies and temperatures. With the Golden Pulsector subdued, they stripped it of its dangerous power, which could not be destroyed, only separated. Truly remarkable was the power - self-sustaining in all ways. The scientist group still had a promise to keep to its employers, so they began working on the Prototype - the ultimate weapon that could be influenced by man and an emulated self-concious, yet would never truly be whole, hence the ever-lasting title of Prototype. You see, the men had already created the final form, when in truth it was not what they desired. It is not that they reach for something that is unattainable by man, no... They limit themselves within boundaries that keep them from creating what they thought they wanted, and all for the better. The resolve for a new ultimate weapon, was - needless to say - the Prototype. A whole that in truth consisted of two halves, which keep eachother in check, in a sense. These halves are as follows: One half is the red sphere - the sphere of havoc and destruction. This sphere does and can only contain power, acting as a home to that power, and is without the means to unleash any power it does contain. Alone it is nothing more than a toolbox that very few sources are able and knowledgeable to control. The other half is the blue sphere - the sphere of control and conscious. This sphere does and can contain instructions to unleash any power in the red sphere. However, this sphere dictates itself and its actions with the emulated concious of a mortal, and is full-fledged tool or servant to nothing and no-one. Of course, because its mind is as a human being, the words and actions of others, and the happenings of its surrounding environment, can and will affect it. Upon uniting, the two spheres form a whole - the Robo as it is most often physically presented. In the united form, the Prototype is no more than a gifted mortal. It is not invulnerable, and is subject to most physical laws such as gravity, weariness, and etc. Only through additional parts can it begin to bend the rules of the universe, but even with the most powerful of them, the control of ultimate power is relatively subtle, although remaining far beyond what any human can do. The aforementioned parts did the team begin to create once the Prototype was finished. One after another these additions came, and in truth they were still developing the Robo - only externally. Each weapon created was a segment of the destructive power extracted from the GPS (dubbed "Enno" by the team), which was originally concentrated as a mass of ultra-powerful yet formless energy within the red sphere. After the formation of each and the final weapon, the space fluctuational technology, the red sphere became little more than a shell capable of storing nearly infinite amounts of raw energy. All that was left within was a formation of Enno I/X Sample, or Enno I/X-S for short-ish. This was the normal shot - hardly more powerful than a basic weapon made by humans. Through all their tireless research, the Prototype Team learned one rule that stands above all other discoveries: A human can not and will not ever have direct control of ultimate power. All pulsectors were created by the scientists in attempt to create the Enno and its Manifestations --------------------------- Enno is, as described above, the nickname for the destructive power that was extracted from the subdued GPS. A form in which it is more understandable, Enno is the energy makeup and base for all of the Robo's additional abilities and weapons. Most weapons and abilities were formed from a certain percentage of the ten segments that the Full Enno was split into. Any segment of Enno is simply called an Enno Sample. The original six special weapons are contrived from Enno I Sample, or Enno I-S, which is one single segment out of the ten from the Full Enno. The normal shot is base Enno I/X-S, or one tenth of a segment. Space flux, due to its high level of reality-bending, is base Enno III-S, or three segments. The remaining IX/X-S was most probably used to form the Ability Enno, which enhances any ability it is used with. Enno actually comes in two forms. Before the space flux was developed, one of the final three segments of Enno was captured as data and copied into the scientists' terminals. Using a subsidiary of the same process that created the Prototype, the scientists were able to create a near-perfect duplicate of an Enno Sample. To quote the terminal log of Professor Subskivix: "Because data is finite, it can therefore only capture the essence of things at a finite resolution, and when any given item is attemptedly recreated from data, it is inevitably imperfect. The Enno Segment we were able to capture is beyond a googul in essence-resolution units, and consumes seventeen whole exabytes of our data space. We were incalculably fortunate to have received twenty exabytes for our research. I nigh believed we would utilize anywhere near that much space, but any lower essence-resolution of the data would result in a highly unstable Enno Sample copy." Therefore, all weapons created after space flux were created from copies of Enno, rather than samples. Most are base Enno I Mimic, or Enno I-M. !!!SPOILER ALERT!!! The full space flux is actually base Enno II-S + I-M. Renstadt, the master of precautionary action and soothsayer of the bunch, swapped out a full Enno Sample for an Enno Mimic without telling any of the group, and space flux was formed with the EM included, and one ES left out. None in the group had any means of discovering the makeup of Enno content within a post-formation weapon. Before anyone found the Sample, he hid it for use in a later creation of his own for the prototype to use. Thus, whatever creation that may have been, it is the true final key to reuniting the Full Enno. And thus, when the GPS attempts to reunite the segments of the Full Enno, one is missing, and it fails in some way. !!!SPOILER ALERT!!! Because special weapons' properties use more than just raw power (they use elements of reality and nature, such as sound and light), they must draw the energy that delivers their form from stores of WE within the Robo. WE chips deliver more of this energy to the Robo. WE is a concentrated energy consisting of all elements of reality and nature that was developed by the scientists, and thus is universal ammo to all special weapons. The normal shot is the only weapon that is pure energy with no form taken from elementalism, and therefore has infinite source from which to draw to sustain its form. Alternate Full-Game Intro and Prototype-Sealing Story ----------------------------------------------------- (Idea a departure of the church space station dream, and sort of a mix with V.O.) After the events of the Pre-Demo, the prototype is sealed in a small space station/satellite and launched into orbit around Earth (or whatever planet). The space station monitors the planet for signs of either havoc in general, or of the GPs. When such signs are detected, the prototype is released, but not without discression. The station begins its descent to the planet, and the prototype is required to pass a trial to prove its stability and unaltered logic. The scientists have predetermined that without the prototype in working order, the planet is doomed should the GPs seek reign once more. Thus, if it is unable to pass the test, hope is lost and the station continues its fall until it crashes into the planet it purges it of all unprotected life, including the GPs. However should it prove itself, the station shall suspend itself in the outer quarter of the planet's atmosphere and establish a barrier that would prevent the GPs from escaping into the universe, providing the prototype time to build its power and ultimately destroy the GPs. The boss at the end of this trial would be extremely large, and its design based upon a judge, more like a judge like those from FFXII and FFTA2:GotR. Glowing, furious eyes. Its body in the background, hammerlike weapon(s) in the foreground. Name something like "apocalyptic judge." In the end, the prototype ends up having to find a way to travel back up to the station, which by then the GPs has either taken over or hidden within, and manifesting itself there and attempting to escape the planet. The stage(s) to reach it again would probably be very vertical and air-based. When it arrives back at the station, the place has generally the same layout with new passages and small alterations to old, and stage progression is relatively backwards from how it was in the beginning. The place is torn up and run-down, blah blah stuff. There might be a different way in than the robo exitted. Final battle atop the station? In the heart of it? Heart first, then everything is getting destroyed and getting further into space, and last battle on scraps of floating metal? Dar. Idea dun. Mlah.
