The official Game Maker tutorials have been adapted to version 8.0. These tutorials can help you discover the many possibilities of Game Maker. They can be found through the More Tutorials item in the Help menu or by going to the Tutorials page.

Fifth Game Maker Competition

After a long wait it's time for a new competition. The theme for the fifth YoYo Games competition is Design A HandHeld Game with Game Maker. The deadline is March 30th. Prizes are $1,000, $500, and $250. For more information see the competition page.

The long wait is over. Here is Game Maker version 8.0. This version contains many new and improved features. In particular, the new version allows for partially translucent sprites, has a completely rewritten sprite and code editor and has user defined triggers. See the help pages for more information, and for some minor incompatibilities.
