Workaround for chrome.i18n.getMessage silent failure if you pass it numbers for parameters instead of strings.

I was spelling "Gmail" as "GMail". Fixed all instances.
Gmail Compose tabs will no longer be wiped out when opening Gmail when you have "strict" recycle tabs mode on.
Error/login colors will now be suppressed altogether from the toolbar button if you choose to hide the error/login text from it.
Services will now tell you when they are refreshing.
When an error occurs with a service, most of the time it can be worked around by opening the service in the browser and refreshing. Help text now directs you to do this.
Implemented i18n API. Anyone interested in translating One Number to another language, shoot me an e-mail.
Fixed case where Log in | Log out separator might not show.
Options page now prompts you to save settings if you close it without saving them.
Added Google-style nav bar to options page (and new pages) for quick navigation.
Moved changelog from background.html source to its own page to make it easier to view.
Moved legal info from background.html source to its own page to make it easier to view.

Most of the service error-related bugs seem to be caused by the services or Chrome and I have been unable to work around them. If you know how to work around any of these please contact me.

GMail cannot detect when it is logged out (it times out instead).
When logging into Google, you need to visit GMail, Google Voice, and Google Wave before each of these services can be checked using this extension. If you keep logged on between browser sessions this shouldn't be more than a minor annoyance.
Log off doesn't always work for Google Wave. You may need to try again or visit the Google Wave service and use that log off link.
You may need to visit GMail once in the browsing session before the Compose link will work (otherwise it may just open GMail).
Google Voice may show an error condition if you haven't visited it during the current browsing session.
Tab recycling is limited to the current window.
There are reports of memory leaks, which I can reproduce, but cannot find the cause, and the heap snapshot tool does not show any obvious culprit. I am not sure my scripts are the cause since even opening/closing the popup appears to "leak" memory! My guesses:
1. V8's garbage collection is exceptionally lazy or
2. Chrome/V8 is leaking memory.
Unless you have details that could help me resolve this please don't contact me about it.

Redo options page to allow for more modularity with services. Adding/removing by dragging and dropping, reordering, and adding multiple instances of one service. This will pave the way for more services, hopefully.
More options for customizing the appearance of the popup and toolbar button.
Select specific folder/feed for Google Reader service to monitor.
Audio notification for new unread items using HTML5.
Modify services to allow for explicitly defined username/password to override browser's stored one (I'll need to see if the XMLHttpRequest method for this is supported by the services).
Give each service its own refresh interval.
Add option to allow "Open unread", when recycling tabs, to switch to an existing tab without refreshing it.
New logo to replace the existing icons of Google services used in the page headers and extension icon and toolbar button. I will accept submissions and give proper credit if anyone has any good ideas. :)
More services. Possible candidates:
- Google Calendar
- Google Buzz
- Twitter
- Simple links to other services where "unread items" doesn't apply such as Google Docs etc.

Fixed small bug in googlewave.js parser.
Work around a bug in chrome.tabs.onUpdated never sending the url of the tab to callback.

Moved the changelog and bugs into background.html, my description was getting too long on chrome.google.com/extensions.
Turned off console logging. Might help memory "leak"?

Rewote classes to better use .prototype.
Counts will no longer be updated each time you navigate in a supported service, only when you navigate away or close the tab.
Updated permissions, Google Wave Apps Domain and "Check all items" should really work now, if they didn't before.
Uses proper APIs for opening tabs now. Extenions should work in pages now and tabs will not be under the One Number process and will be properly sandboxed against crashing from each other as designed by the Chrome team.
Added compose link for GMail.
Now when you choose to show all unread messages, not just those in the inbox, opening the service will also show all messages.
Option added to make clicking on the toolbar button open services with unread items immediately, at the cost of not having a popup when there are unread items.
You can open just the services shown, or also services you've hidden from the toolbar button.
Option added to use HTTP instead of HTTPS.

Options added to reuse existing tabs when opening service, as well as a level of agressiveness (by default it won't reuse a tab when it doesn't know what you're doing with it, such as composing a new e-mail).
Tweaked options page so clicking anywhere on a header expands/collapses a section.

Options added to control whether or not error or logged out status is reflected in the toolbar button.
If XMLHTTPRequest returns a HTTP status of 0 it is now treated as an error. Previously the unread count would simply not be changed.

Hopefully fixed Google App Domain support for GMail, added for GWave. Still "Not tested" quality, please give feedback.
Already read messages will no longer be shown in Google Voice preview.
GMail and Google Voice options to check for unread messages in all folders/labels, not just the Inbox.
You can now hide individual services' unread counts from the main toolbar button.
Fixed bug where services could stop updating.
