Flash Player 6 (6.0.40.0) and later versions support certain JavaScript methods that are specific to Flash applications, as well as FSCommand, in Netscape 6.2 and later. Earlier versions do not support these JavaScript methods and FSCommand in Netscape 6.2 or later. For more information, see the Adobe Support Center article, "Scripting With Flash," at www.adobe.com/support/flash/publishexport/scriptingwithflash/.
For Netscape 6.2 and later, you do not need to set the swliveconnect attribute to true. However, setting swLiveConnect to true has no adverse effects on your SWF file. For more information, see the swLiveConnect attribute in Using Flash.
