Watching the Installation Progress

The Backup installation progress screen displays a progress bar and an estimated time-remaining status to indicate the progress of the installation of the Wd SmartWare™ software.

To continue with the backup installation procedure:

1. Wait for the installation procedure to complete, as signified by appearance of the WD SmartWare successfully installed message.
2. Click Continue to Backup to display the Ready to Back Up screen.

To cancel, or customize your drive settings after installing the software:

1. Click Cancel Install and wait for the file cleanup operation to complete.
2. After the file cleanup operation completes, do one of the following:
   • Install to restart the Backup installation procedure.
   • Back to Start to redisplay the What would you like to do? prompt.
