Setting Preferences

Select or deselect the WD SmartWare™ software Preferences you want to enable or disable.

To open the WD SmartWare software each time you connect your drive to your computer:

Click Open Wd SmartWare when Drive is Connected.

To automatically check for WD SmartWare software updates:

Click Automatically Check for WD SmartWare Software Updates. This option automatically checks for WD SmartWare software updates online.
