Envelope points represent an envelope's settings at specific points in time. You can adjust an envelope by adding points, adjusting points, and setting the fade curve between points:

• To add points to an envelope, double-click the envelope in the timeline.
• Drag an envelope point up or down to change its setting, or drag left or right to change its position.
  
• Right-click a segment between two points and choose a setting from the shortcut menu to change the segment's fade curve.

Mute envelopes can be set to Muted or Not Muted; with no fade between the on and off states. If you want to use fades, apply volume envelopes.
