Before you can record MIDI or control a soft synth with a MIDI device, you need to enable your device.

This tutorial assumes you have installed your device and any required drivers according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Connect your MIDI device to your computer's MIDI interface (the MIDI port on your sound card, for example):

1. Connect the MIDI Out port on your computer's MIDI interface to the MIDI In port on your MIDI device.
2. Connect the MIDI In port on your computer's MIDI interface to the MIDI Out port on your MIDI device.
