The Soft Synth Chooser dialog allows you to choose which software synthesizer you want to use to play MIDI tracks that are routed to the soft synth in your project.

Select a DLS soft synth or VST instrument from the list and click the OK button.

Remember, only VST instruments that you've configured for use in will be displayed. If the VSTi you want to use isn't displayed, you can use the Plug-In Manager to configure it. To learn how to configure VSTi plug-ins, click here to open the online help.

After you click OK, a bus is added to the Mixing Console tab, and the Soft Synth Properties tab is automatically displayed to show you the settings for your new soft synth bus.
