The VST Instruments tab allows you to indicate where your VST instrument plug-ins are installed and to select which plug-ins you want to make available for use as soft synths.

The path displayed in the Default VSTi search folder box is the folder where the application looks for VST instruments during startup.

You can click the Browse button next to the Alternate VSTi search folder 1 and Alternate VSTi search folder 2 boxes to choose two additional folders where you have VSTi plug-ins installed.

The Select VST instruments to be available as Soft Synths box displays all VST instruments that are currently available. Select a VST instrument's check box to make it available for use as a soft synth.

When you use a VSTi plug-in, software will lock it for the remainder of your session. A lock is displayed next to the check box to indicate that the plug-in cannot be removed until you close and restart the application.

When you are ready to continue, click the Next button.
