Click the Track FX button.

  • When a track does not have any effects, the button is displayed as a . Clicking this button will display the Plug-In Chooser, where you can choose the effects you want to add to the track.
  • When a track already has effects applied, the button is displayed as a . Clicking this button will display the track's effects settings in the Audio Plug-In window.
  • When a track has non-in-place plug-ins applied, the button is displayed as a . Clicking this button will display the track's effects settings in the Audio Plug-In window.

    A chain that has non-in-place plug-ins applied is displayed with a different icon to let you know that the effects chain may cause your audio to play out of synchronization with the waveform display in the timeline and with other tracks. A plug-in is described as non-in-place when its output may not match the length of its input: Time Stretch, for example will make an audio signal longer or shorter than its original length.
