This is the Mixing Console window. Use this window to monitor your audio levels, adjust the overall project volume, and add software synthesizers (soft synths) to your project.

• Drag the Preview fader to control the loudness of media played through the Beatmapper, Explorer, or Chopper window. When adding media to the project, the new track's volume is set to the preview volume.
• Drag the Master fader to set the overall level of your project.
• Click the Insert FX button to add an assignable effects chain to your project. Use assignable effects chains when you want to route multiple tracks to a chain of plug-ins while setting the effects send level for each track independently.
• Click the Insert Bus button to add an auxiliary bus to your project. Use busses to group tracks so you can control their volumes together or to route tracks to hardware outputs.
• Click the Insert Soft Synth button to add a soft synth bus. You can think of soft synth busses as synthesizers that play MIDI tracks.
