You can access the options page by clicking the button labelled Options at the top of the SoundTap window.

Recording

Recordings Folder

Browse and select the folder you would like SoundTap to create your recordings.

Output format

Select what format you would like your recordings to be made in. SoundTap currently supports mp3 and wave formats.

Change Mp3 settings

Use this option if you would like to change the advanced settings of the mp3 files that SoundTap is recording.

Record to a VRS Multiline Call Recording System

If this option is seleted, SoundTap will record audio streams to your existing VRS installation.

VRS Server

This is the server address of your VRS installation.

VRS Access Code

You can set up an access code in VRS by right clicking the desired VoIP channel and selecting channel properties.

Devices

Listen while recording

If this option is selected then SoundTap will play the audio source at the same while it is recording. If the option is unchecked then SoundTap will record silently.

The audio device listed here is the device through which you would like SoundTap to play the audio it is recording. The default setting is most likely to be correct.

Record microphone input

The device listed here is the device you typically have your microphone connected to. This setting is important if you intend to record Voice Over IP conversations

Pause playback when paused

When this option is selected, pressing the pause button will pause any recording and pause any playback as well. When this option is not selected, SoundTap will not record but it will still play any audio streams it is receiving.

Ignore breaks in audio streams

If SoundTap receives a break in the audio stream when this option is selected, SoundTap will continue recording to the current file if the stream resumes within the specified time frame. A new file will not be created. Time frames are specified in milliseconds. Eg. Specify 1000 for 1 second. It is recommended that you only use this setting if you are having troubles with your internet connection. For most users this setting should be unnecessary.
