SoundTap is able to run in the background on your system. If you would like to record your favourite internet radio show, but free up a bit of screen space while you work on some other application, the you can instruct SoundTap to run from the system tray. This means SoundTap will only display itself as an icon in the small area on the bottom right hand side of your windows toolbar.

You can send SoundTap to the tray by selecting SoundTap --> Close to tray from the SoundTap menu. By right clicking this icon you can perform simple instructions like starting and stopping recording without having to reopen SoundTap.
