In this dialogue you can set the camera properties.
Name
This is the displayed name of the camera.
Framerate
This is the number of frames per second the video will be recorded at. Lower values will lower file sizes and decrease CPU usage.
Resolution
This is the size in pixels of the video (width x height). Lower values will also lower file sizes and decrease CPU usage.
Compression
This is the compression codec that will be used to save the recorded file. Some codecs support additional settings and if these are available the button 'Compression Settings' will be availble to change them. IF you set this to 'No Recording' then you cannot start recording on this camera.
Use motion detection
This specifies if motion detection should be used and generate the notifications in Options ~ Motion. The sensitivity slider can be used to change the detection. If you are not detecting motion move the slider to the right. If you are detecting too much then move it to the left.
Device Settings
This will open a device specific settings page. You should refer to your cameras manual for further details.
One setting on some cameras is the switch or reverse the horizontal image. On most cameras you will see the image is mirrored or motion left to right will appear right to left on the display and recordings. Using this option will revers this so it will appear normal.
