| Media guide: Use the right disc |
One of the challenges of working with disc burning
software is making sure you are using the best disc format for your drive
and for your project. There are many variables to consider. Not all drives
support all types of media. CDs cost less than high capacity discs. Some
projects require certain types of discs. The chart below offers suggestions
to help guide you through this maze. (Your version of the project launcher
may not include all of the projects listed here.) |

Create an Audio CD |
CD-R media (also known
as write-once CD media) for best compatibility. You cannot create
an audio CD with a DVD or BD disc. |

Create a Jukebox

media. Rewritable "RW" media can be used if the disc will be played
in a computer. |
