What's new this release

This October 2006 release provides the following enhancements:

Autodesk DirectConnect for CATIA® V5

Autodesk DirectConnect now lets you import CATIA V5 product and part files (R16 and earlier) into Autodesk StudioTools Version 13.5 and Autodesk Showcase Version 2007.10.

A separate license is required. For more details see Autodesk DirectConnect for CATIA V5.

Enhancements for DWG/DXF Import

When you import Autodesk AutoCAD® drawing files (DWG) and Drawing interchange format (DXF) files using Autodesk DirectConnect, you can now import text, 3D solids, and surfaces. This allows for increased interoperability with Autodesk® Revit®, AutoCAD® and Autodesk® Inventor® products.

NURBS support for Open Inventor, Cosmo Import

Maya users can now import NURBS data when they import Open Inventor or Cosmo files.
