Share custom PDF settings

You can reuse and share your own Adobe PDF preset definitions with other users. If you save the custom settings file in the default settings folder, it becomes available to all users, and is included in the Default Settings menu. But you can also add Adobe PDF settings files that were saved in another location to the Default Settings menu.

To add Adobe PDF settings files to the menu, do one of the following:
  • Drag the .joboptions file onto the Distiller window.

  • In Acrobat Distiller, choose Settings > Add Adobe PDF Settings, and then double-click the desired PDF settings file. (PDF settings files have the extension .joboptions.) The settings file appears as the selected option in the Default Settings menu.

  • Drag your PDF settings file to the Adobe PDF/Settings folder, which makes it the selected option in the Default Settings menu.
