Main Menu

Navigation: Get turn-by-turn, audible directions or preview your route to an address, stored location, or airport.

Find: Find a Place, Movie, Event, Address or an airport.

Share: Share a location and a personal message with other Verizon Wireless colleagues or friends.

Map: View map and traffic information.

From the options menu, change application preferences, sync stored locations and messages with VZ Navigator.com.

Preferences

Regional: Choose units of metrics distance and temperature.

Route Options: Select navigation mode and navigation traffic options.

Display: Customize the main menu content and the points of interest short cuts for the map tray.

Audio: Select your navigation voice and select whether you would like to hear street names, short voice prompts, or tones.

Navigate

Destination: Enter an address, city & state, ZIP or intersection or choose from a Recent, Favorite location, Contact, or Airport.

Start: Use your current location or Preview a route by an address, city & state, ZIP or intersection or choose from a Recent, Favorite location, Contact, or Airport as the starting location.

Route Options: Select navigation mode and navigation traffic options.

Navigate: Initiates a turn-by-turn, voice prompted navigation to the selected destination.

Preview: View static directions of the route from a selected start and destination.

Resume: Appears when you have not completed navigating to your destination. Resume allows you to continue routing to your destination.

3D Navigation Map

The map displays your next maneuver at the top of the screen along with the direction arrows and the distance to the next turn. If there is an immediate turn, a second direction arrow will display showing the direction arrow for the immediate turn.

The colored bar displayed at the bottom left of the screen indicates the severity of the traffic delay along your route for the entire trip.

Green = all clear
Green/ Yellow = minimal delay
Yellow = minor delay
Yellow/Red = moderate delay
Red = severe delay

From the menu change the navigation view, display a Trip Summary, select a Detour option, or find a location along your route.

Preview

View static directions of the route from a selected destination or starting location.

From the menu select Navigate for turn-by-turn directions from your current location to the destination, display a Trip Summary or find a location along your route.

Find

Places: Enter a specific name of a place such as a restaurant, bank, or hotel; select from a list of categories; or narrow your search by entering a name and selecting a category to find places around you or select Where: Current Location to search around another location. Press the search icon to view a list of search results. Press the map icon to display the results on the map.

Select a result to view details such as the address and phone number. From the details choose to Navigate, Share, Find, or Map. You can also view the Weather around the location or save the location to Favorites by selecting Weather or Add to Favorites from the menu.

Movies: Enter the title of the movie or press the search icon to view a list of movies currently playing at movie theaters around you or select Where: Current Location to search around another location.

Select a result to view movie details, then select Showtimes to display a list of movie theaters and showtimes for the selected movie title. Press the map icon to display the results on the map.

Select a result to view details such as the address and phone number. From the detail screen choose to Navigate, Share, Find, or Map. You can also view the Weather around the location or save the location to Favorites by selecting Weather or Add to Favorites from the menu.

Events: Enter the title of an event or press the search icon to view a list of local events currently playing at movie theaters. Select a result to view movie details; select Showtimes to display a results list of movie theaters and showtimes for the selected movie title.

Select a result to view details such as the address and phone number. From the detail screen choose to Navigate, Share, Find, or Map. You can also view the Weather around the location or save the location to Favorites by selecting Weather or Add to Favorites from the menu.

Address: Find an address or select from a recently found, favorite, or a contact's location.

Enter an address into the text field. Street addresses must include city and state or ZIP code. Intersections must include an '&' between the street names and include city and state or ZIP.

The detail screen will display the address and phone number if available. From the detail screen choose to Navigate, Share, Find, or Map. You can also view the Weather around the location or save the location to Favorites by selecting Weather or Add to Favorites from the menu.

Airports: Enter an airport code, airport name, or airport city. Select from the list of suggested airports or press the search icon to choose from other available airport results.

The detail screen will display the address. From the detail screen choose to Navigate, Share, Find, or Map. You can also view the Weather around the location or save the location to Favorites by selecting Weather or Add to Favorites from the menu.

Share

Share a location and a personal message with other Verizon Wireless colleagues or friends. Enter up to 10 mobile phone numbers or email addresses in the 'To' field.

Share your current locations or select 'Place: Current Location'to share an address, recently found, favorite, contact, or airport location. Enter a personal message into the 'Message' field, then, select Send.

Incoming messages are stored in Inbox; sent messages are stored in Sent.

Select 'Check New Msg' to sync messages stored at VZ Navigator.com.

Map

View your current location or other points of interest on the map. Select the location balloon to display address details of the location.

Map interaction
Use touch gestures to interact with the map. Use the pinch or spread gesture to zoom in or out. Touch and hold your finger on the map to drop a pin and display the location of the pin.

Select the tab for quick search of your favorite points of interest.

Displays or hides traffic overlay on the map. Touch the icon to view incident details.

Select to track your movement on the map or to display your current location.

Active when multiple points of interest are displayed on the map. This icon allows you to view from a list.
